Hammerson has secured its second flagship letting with UNIQLO at Cabot Circus in Bristol as the sought-after brand targets the South West for its UK expansion. It follows a major new letting with UNIQLO at Bullring for its Midlands debut earlier this year, with the store set to open its doors next month.
Situated in a prominent, gateway location at Cabot Circus, the new UNIQLO store provides 15,000 ft of tradable space across two floors. The brand’s popular womens, mens, and kidswear ranges will feature alongside UNIQLO’s LifeWear collections, available for the first time to customers in the UK’s South West.
UNIQLO is the latest major brand secured at Cabot Circus which welcomes over 17 million visits a year with a catchment of over 3.6 million people. M&S is already set to launch its 80,000 sq ft store later this year following £21m of investment including its latest M&S Food offering. ODEON is also due to open in 2026, joining new leisure offers such as King Pins Bowl and Treetop Golf, all part of Hammerson’s vision to curate a buzzing, multi-use destination in the heart of Bristol.
The highly anticipated UNIQLO Bullring launch on 16 October adds to the destination’s already strong line-up of high-quality brands. It follows a period of extensive investment which has attracted leading names, including Sephora, M&S, Space NK, Adidas, Footlocker and a new flagship Zara.
UNIQLO’s openings at Bullring and Cabot Circus represent a continued flight to quality, with occupiers seeking highly productive and impactful stores in only the best locations with the strongest catchments.
Paul O’Brien, Director of Leasing & Commercialisation at Hammerson, commented: “UNIQLO’s significant investment in both Bullring and Cabot Circus highlights the confidence that leading retailers have in Hammerson, and the un-matched quality of our destinations. By providing prime locations in the UK’s biggest cities, our destinations continue to attract the latest and best-in-class global brands seeking regional flagship presences, and UNIQLO is a perfect example of this demand.”
Alessandro Dudech, COO of UNIQLO U.K. said “UNIQLO remains committed to strengthening its presence within the UK retail sector by expanding both our physical store network and ecommerce capabilities nationwide. As part of this strategic initiative, we are pleased to introduce UNIQLO to the communities and visitors in the South West in at Bristol’s Cabot Circus. We look forward to offering our LifeWear collection, apparel crafted to endure, inspired by the Japanese principles of quality, simplicity, and functionality to a broader customer base.”
