A new €16million Penneys store at Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin and Bristol’s largest H&M at Cabot Circus, topped off a big month of new openings across Hammerson’s portfolio today (22nd June). 

The new openings further reflect Hammerson’s focus on enlivening and reinvigorating its destinations through new occupiers, concepts and brands. Underpinning the wider strategy to create exceptional city centre destinations to drive value for our stakeholders, connect our communities, and deliver a positive impact for generations to come. 

Penneys and H&M Home come hot on the heels of a Spring refresh across the portfolio which welcomed Lush, Rituals, Goldsmiths, Kaiseki and EL&N Café at Cabot Circus and Bullring. 

Penneys at Dundrum Town Centre 
Penneys, the much-loved Irish retailer, which trades as Primark in the UK has opened an 80,000 sq ft store, featuring 60,000 sq ft of prime retail space for customers, increasing its retail space by 64% as part of an extensive upsize and relocation in Dundrum Town Centre. Penneys is now one of the largest fashion retailers at Dundrum Town Centre and becomes the third largest Penneys in Ireland.
The launch event featured a DJ and was attended by 100 influencers and VIPs. 

Located on level two and three of Dundrum Town Centre, the increased floor space will allow a much wider selection of fashion and products across women’s, men’s and kidswear, as well as its popular beauty and expanded homeware departments.  

H&M Home & H&M at Cabot Circus 
At Cabot Circus, H&M has upsized and refit its store bringing with it the long-awaited introduction of H&M HOME, the new 26,120 sq ft store features new services including click & collect lockers and self-checkouts against the backdrop of a more welcoming and relaxed interior design. The H&M, which is now the largest in the area, repurposes and reinvigorates a former Victoria Secrets unit.  


June: bumper month of openings 

The two stores this week are the latest in a series of new concepts and brand openings across Hammerson’s destinations in June. Highlights include: 
•    Nike Live at Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin, the first concept store in the country
•    Beaverbrooks TAG Heuer boutique at The Oracle, Reading 
•    Jul Store at Terrasses du Port, Marseille 
•    Zebel at Cabot Circus, Bristol 
•    Seasalt at Union Square, Aberdeen
