Hammerson has announced that it has appointed Abby Hughes as its new Senior Leasing Manager for F&B and Leisure.

Abby has a wealth of experience from a variety of F&B sectors, including hospitality venues, private equity firms, and multi-site corporate bank and law firms. She also has extensive experience of the fine dining sector, and has worked in partnership with a number of high profile names including several Michelin Star chefs. More recently, Abby managed contract catering at Selfridges and the FT.

Hammerson has welcomed a number of exciting new F&B concepts to its flagship destinations over the past 12 months, including @pizza and Herman Ze German at Grand Central, Birmingham, Brewdog at Union Square, Aberdeen, and plant-based fast food operator Miami Burger at The Oracle, Reading. Showcasing brands that provide a unique and compelling experience to consumers is a key focus for Hammerson, and 55% of new UK F&B lettings in 2018 were to independent, local, and emerging brands.

Kate Orwin, UK Leasing Director, said: “We’re delighted to have Abby on board. She has a fantastic breadth of experience and I’m sure she’ll be a great addition to the team. It’s a really exciting time to be working in F&B and leisure, as there’s an incredible range of new concepts and brands coming through, and we’re seeing lots of demand for space in our flagship destinations.”

Abby Hughes, Senior Leasing Manager, said: “I’m really excited to join the team at Hammerson. They already have a really strong F&B and leisure offering in their centres, and I’m looking forward to finding ways to improve it still further. I can’t wait to hit the ground running.”
