Hammerson and Aberdeen Standard Investments have secured international fashion retailer, Mango, to join the line-up of leading retailers at Brent Cross, North London’s iconic retail destination.
Mango’s new 6,500 sq ft womenswear store will take a prime location in the main mall, situated alongside Hugo Boss, Tesla, Victoria’s Secret and Swarovski. The brand complements the existing line up of womenswear retailers, including the recently upsized Zara, Reiss and Hobbs.
The new store is due to open its doors towards the end of 2018, and will provide Brent Cross shoppers with the brand’s full range of womenswear and accessories.Founded in Barcelona in 1984, Mango has become synonymous with creating up to the minute fashion which is inspired by the latest trends. Each year the brand designs over 18,000 garments and accessories for its loyal customer base.
One of the UK’s most iconic shopping centres, Brent Cross has a forty year history of attracting the very best retailers and remains a key location for shoppers. This latest signing follows the new 2,800 sq ft Guess store which opened in July, further strengthening the center’s offer of high-end, international brands.
Iain Mitchell, UK Commercial Director at Hammerson commented: “Adding this cosmopolitan fashion brand to the current retail line-up at Brent Cross demonstrates continued confidence in the on-going appeal of the centre. Strong occupier demand from leading retailers reinforces the sustained significance of Brent Cross as a major London retail destination and Mango provides our loyal catchment of shoppers with a great fashion offer.”
Ed Jenkins, Head of Shopping Centre Portfolio Management at Aberdeen Standard Investments, commented: “Mango’s arrival at Brent Cross cements the centre’s reputation as a leading destination for both fashion retailers and fashion shoppers. It is another exciting step in the ongoing evolution of the centre, which continues to provide our customers with a great shopping experience.”
