Hammerson has announced that fresh handmade cosmetics brand Lush will open its biggest store in Ireland at Dundrum Town Centre.

The new store, which measures 2,311 sq ft and is creating 25 new job roles, is due to open in the run up to Christmas, as it strategically expands across Ireland.  Lush, which is synonymous for pioneering beauty products such as the fizzing bath bomb, is the go-to high-street brand for fresh cosmetics, skincare and gifts.

Dundrum Town Centre continues to attract household brands, with Nespresso also committing to the destination through a new and enhanced kiosk, relocating from Level 2 to Level 1, near Brown Thomas.  Nespresso’s Micro Boutique has been at the centre since 2017.

Earlier this summer it was announced that premium timepiece specialists, Watches of Switzerland, will open its first ever store in Ireland at Dundrum in February 2023, while Niall Horan-backed Irish clothing brand, Gym+Coffee, has increased its footprint with an upsize and relocation adjacent to the North Mall entrance on Level 2.

Connor Owens, Managing Director, Asset Management (Ireland & Scotland), Hammerson, co-owners and asset managers of Dundrum Town Centre, said: “Across our portfolio, beauty brands continue to perform exceptionally well and Lush will bring a fresh and original approach with its 100% vegetarian, natural and ethical products. Research shows that 87% of young people - a key demographic for Dundrum - pay attention to a brand’s ethics before making a purchase.   Indeed, Lush’s sustainability credentials very much align with our own, so we’re excited to provide a new opportunity to engage with this audience.  The commitment of Nespresso also reinforces our position as Dublin’s premier shopping and leisure destination.”

Ellen Peters, Head of UK&I Property, Lush, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening our 4th Irish shop before Christmas this year. With a trading area of 130sqm it will be double the size of our current largest store in Ireland and will be home to our full range of Fresh Handmade Cosmetics. Our goal is always to ‘leave the world Lusher than we found it’ and when fitting out shops, we utilise the same values as when sourcing ingredients for our products, working closely with suppliers to source durable and ethical materials. Our thanks also go out to the advisors that worked on this with us, particularly Darren Peavoy from Bannon and Aideen Hennessy from HOS Partners.”

As Ireland’s largest shopping centre, Dundrum Town Centre prides itself on offering an engaging and exciting range of retail, leisure, and food and drink options. Dundrum Town Centre is home to over 169 tenants, almost 140,000 m² square metres of floor space and, over 3,400 car parking spaces.
