Silverburn wins fourth BCSC ACE award for customer service


Hammerson announces that Silverburn has won the BCSC ACE (Achieving Customer Excellence) award for customer service for the fourth year, a first for a UK shopping centre.

Other nominees in the category, which judged customer service at shopping centres over 80,000m2, included retail and leisure destinations such as intu Trafford and Bluewater.

Commenting on the award win, David Atkins CEO of Hammerson and President of the BCSC, said: “There were many worthy winners at last night’s BCSC’s ACE awards which celebrates the best customer service in the retail property industry, but I was especially delighted to be able to present Silverburn with this much coveted award.”

The ACE Awards are organised and judged by the nine members of the BCSC Customer Experience Committee, including the committee chair, following two separate mystery shops carried out at each destination.  Silverburn has previously won the award in 2011, 2013, and 2014.
