HART second quarter highlights

The Hammerson Retail Tracker (HART) uses proprietary data from in-mall product innovations, including the Plus App, and extracts from Javelin’s consumer research to provide a snapshot of the changing shape of retail destinations, revealing the shifting heartbeat of UK consumers’ spending habits and retail trends.

Plus App

First trialled in 2014, Hammerson’s Plus App has been rolled out across the UK and France shopping centre portfolio, providing shoppers with retailer offers and centre information.

Handsfree trial

The Handsfree service is available through the Plus App, and enables shoppers to shop or dine without the hassle of carrying all their bags by safely leaving them at the customer service desk. Shoppers are able to collect their purchases at a time that is convenient to them. The trial has been live at the Oracle Shopping Centre in Reading for over three months, and will soon be rolled out to other centres in the portfolio.
