New brands join retail line up at Les Terrasses du Port, Marseille

Hammerson has secured over 8,500ft² (790m²) of new lettings at its major retail and leisure destination, Les Terrasses du Port in Marseille.

Michael Kors and Gant are opening their first stores in France’s second city with Bose and G-Star taking flagship stores. French fashion brand Sandro has also secured space, with Groupe SMCP (Sandro, Maje and Claudine Pierlot) now opening three stores within the scheme totalling 4,410ft² (410m²).

The new brands joining the 657,000ft² (61,000m²) centre have all taken space on the top floor of the scheme, which is dedicated to high-end and designer brands and has stunning views over the Mediterranean.   

The latest signings join French department store Printemps, which will anchor the scheme. Primtemp’s 91,500ft² (8,500m²) store will carry high-end fashion and accessories from designer ranges and will be the brand’s latest opening since the relaunch of its flagship Paris store. 

Jean-Philippe Mouton, Managing Director for Hammerson France said: “These major signings reinforce our confidence that Les Terrasses du Port will be the preferred location for aspirational retailers and will become the prime shopping centre for Marseille.”

“With such a strong level of pre-letting, we are selectively targting our retailers for the remaining units which we believe will significanlty enhance the retail experience for consumers.” 

Additional retailers opening within the scheme in spring 2014 include Monoprix, Zara, Levi’s, Agatha and Fossil.
